Swimming in the sandy beach of Meganisi

On the north side of the island, opposite the islet of Thilia, stretches Stravounami or Ammoglossa beach, which promises moments of real relaxation. The bottom has fine gravel while a newly opened canteen offers the comforts of an organized beach, always with respect to the natural landscape.

On the road from Ammoglossa to Agios Ioannis there is a restaurant in a beautiful garden. IL PARADISO is a family business made with taste and passion. Olive trees, lanterns and wooden tables compose the atmosphere of this heavenly location. Unreservedly recommended for roasts of the hour, stews and seafood. The tavern even has a jetty, where patrons leave their inflatables. In the center of the site there is a pavilion hosting an exhibition of paintings by the German artist Lydia Van Fondern.
