Access to Meganisi is effortless, as Lefkada is the only island you can visit by car. A floating bridge connects it with Etoloakarnania. The bridge rotates completely every hour from 8:00 to 22:00, while from 23:00 to 07.00, it rotates when a boat needs to pass. From Athens
Through the Athens-Corinth national road and the Rio-Antirio bridge. Olympia Odos, Ionia Odos, Amvrakia Motorway. The total driving distance from Athens to Lefkada is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

From Northern Greece
Through the Egnatia Motorway, you reach Ioannina, and from there, you follow the route to Preveza. Passing by the underwater bridge of Aktio, you will follow the road to Lefkada, and from there, you will follow the road to Nidri. The total distance from Thessaloniki is 385 km.

At the port of Nydri, there is a sign for the ferry boat to Meganisi. The ferry boat ride takes just 20 minutes, and the route is enchanting. You will have the opportunity to see Madouri up close with the old mansion of our great poet Aristotle Valaoritis and the famous private island Scorpios, formerly owned by Onassis, now owned by the Russian tycoon Dmitry Rimbolovlev.
